Forum Europe is a leading virtual event organiser having organised policy conferences across a variety of sectors in Brussels and around Europe since 1989.
The team approached Blend Telecom for a range of services due to their newly opened office space located in the heart of Cardiff Bay. Forum Europe required a complete package of services that provides them with speedy and most importantly, reliable internet connection due to the nature of the business as well as products that enable hybrid working flexibility.
Their new offices weren’t fit for purpose having previously been home to a salon. Blend wired the whole office space with network points, ceiling mounted wifi and installed a new internet cabinet for a leased line broadband connection – this means that Forum Europe benefits from symmetrical internet speeds (meaning that their upload and download speed are the same) and provided with a dedicated connection between their new office base and the local exchange for undisturbed internet connectivity ideal for hosting virtual events.
In addition, Forum Europe also took Meraki Go for their Wi-Fi solution. Meraki Go is a cloud-based, networking solution for businesses which enables the Forum Europe team to monitor internet connectivity and usage remotely through the use of a handy app. Any guests to Forum Europe’s new office are also able to securely access reliable Wi-Fi while keeping company date safe.
The team at Forum Europe are embracing the move towards a hybrid way of work and Blend’s expertise means that the business were introduced to the hybrid working capabilities of Cisco Webex. This VoIP telephone and messaging system provides the team with the flexibility of both at home and in office working through the use a single application that can be accessible on mobile, tablet or desktop. Rather than a traditional phone line, this cloud based technology means that the Forum Europe team are able to answer calls using their mobile phone, tablet or desktop, forward calls to team members wherever they’re working, receive voicemails, and get these sent directly to a group email address via voicemail to email.
Working in partnership with Greenpoint Security, Forum Europe was also happy to be provided with around the clock remote CCTV access that is easily managed through a handy mobile phone app that can be accessed anywhere thanks to their dedicated fibre connection.
In a time where the energy market is facing much instability, Blend also provided the Forum Europe team with reliable and cost-effective energy for their new office space.
On top of this, the Forum Europe team also opted to take advantage of our knowledge and relationships with UK’s leading networks and secured company mobile contracts with Blend Telecom that forms a part of the complete service package that was provided to the business. Despite the variety of products and services Forum Europe opted for, these are all consolidated in one bill for a more straight forward billing process and a trustworthy single point of contact to answer any queries or issues the business may be facing.
